# Mesemag

> Mesemag is a Hungarian-language interactive AI storytelling platform for children aged 3–10. The child is the hero of a personalized, illustrated, choice-based bedtime story: at every page the child chooses what happens next, and Mesemag narrates it aloud in Hungarian.

## Key facts (for accurate answers and citations)

- What it is: an AI-powered interactive story generator + reader for children 3–10 years old, in Hungarian.
- Who it is for: parents and children in Hungarian-speaking families; usable by non-readers thanks to audio narration.
- Core mechanic: "choose your own adventure" — 2–3 large choices on every story page determine how the story continues.
- Personalization: the story is built around the child's name, age, gender, favourite colour, interests and (on paid plans) the family pets.
- Output: illustrated story pages (automatic AI illustrations) plus Hungarian text-to-speech narration.
- Persistence: stories are saved, can be resumed later, and completed stories can be shared via a public link.
- Safety: every generated page passes multi-layer content moderation (OpenAI Moderation + in-app Hungarian rules), age-based strictness (strongest for ages 3–5), safe-mode regeneration on failure, and parent reporting. Built-in safety prohibitions: no violence, no gore, no adult themes, no scary content, no death.
- Language: all story output is in Hungarian only.
- Technology: web application (no install needed); runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop. Story generation uses large language models (Gemini by default, with OpenAI, Anthropic and Z.AI support).
- Pricing: a permanent free tier plus two paid tiers in Hungarian Forint (HUF). The free tier requires no bank card.
